Hard Rock Biloxi Grand Opening Concert

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi has announced that 3 Doors Down, a multiplatinum rock act born on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, will kick off its July 5-8 opening weekend festivities.

Hard Rock Biloxi was on the verge of opening when Hurricane Katrina destroyed it in 2005. The official grand opening date for the rebuilt facility is July 7 — or, for gamblers fond of “lucky 7,” 7/7/07.

According to information provided by Hard Rock Biloxi, 3 Doors Down will perform July 5 at Hard Rock Live!, a 1,400-seat entertainment venue separate from the site’s Hard Rock Café. Kid Rock will play the venue July 7.

According to www.hardrockbiloxi.com, tickets for 3 Doors Down start at $75, while tickets for the Kid Rock show start at $100. Tickets for both go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday through Ticketmaster outlets. Both shows begin at 8 p.m.

Several other shows also go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday through Ticketmaster: Poison & Ratt, 7 p.m. July 12, $40 and up. Cheap Trick, 8 p.m. July 19, $20 and up. Vince Neil and Slaughter, 8 p.m. July 26, $20 and up. Blue October, 8 p.m. Aug. 2, $25 and up. Daughtry, 3 p.m. Aug. 4, $50 and up. John Kay and Steppenwolf, 8 p.m. Aug. 23, $15 and up.
