Gaming Commission OKs Coast casino plan

The Mississippi Gaming Commission on Thursday OK’d site development plans for a casino in D’Iberville.

The commission approved plans for a casino development with a 400-room hotel with five or six restaurants and a land-based casino. Peter Simon is principal in West D’Iberville Development and owner of the site.

The commission approved the casino site, which is west of the I-110 bridge and on the Back Bay of Biloxi, in July.

State gaming regulations require financial details for a project be provided but there is no deadline for submitting the information once site and development plans are approved.
