Grand Casino Biloxi Poker Room goes Smoke Free
BILOXI, MS – Grand Casino Biloxi is home to not only the largest Poker Room in Biloxi, but now, the only Poker Room in Biloxi to go smoke-free.
The Poker Room went completely smoke-free during the Southern Poker Tournament, which was co-hosted with Grand Casino Gulfport in mid-April. Grand Casino Gulfport has been smoke-free since 2001 and for the tournament, Grand Casino Biloxi decided to also go smokeless. The decision to keep the room smoke-free following the tournament was met with great results from both guests and staff.
“I’ve been here since August 2004 and players and staff have overwhelmed me with the desire to go non-smoking”, said Mike Smith, Grand Casino Biloxi Poker Room Manager. “We had planned on non-smoking for the Southern Classic and after meeting with our General Manager Duncan McKenzie and V.P. of Table Games Michael Cray, we decided the time was right. The response has been terrific.”
Poker is one of the more popular card games at the casino, thanks to televised tournaments. Grand Casino Biloxi features 23 tables and offers structured 7 card stud 2-4; Texas Hold’em 1-4-8-8, 6-12, 10-20, 15-30, 20-40 and No Limit. On weekend, 5-10 Blind Pot Limit Omaha, Hi Lo Omaha 4-8 and 15-30 is offered. The Poker Room also features daily promotions, tournaments and free snacks for players.
